When Craig’s Cake Shop wanted to revamp their online presence in late 2019, I was tasked with writing website copy to speak to potential customers and search engines. Writing about desserts? Count me in.
As my first full-scale website content project, it was equal parts challenging and rewarding. Bringing the Craig’s voice to life was fun (and not just because we got free cake samples). 😉 I couldn’t stop smiling when our clients were happy with the finished product!
For Craig’s Cake Shop, I:
- Wrote website content for 18 individual pages
- Crafted search-engine-optimized meta titles and descriptions for each page
- Carefully considered keywords and user experience in heading tags
- Balanced a whimsical voice with practical product information
- Made sure my content was concise and scannable
- Completed the entire content project, including revisions, in less than 10 hours
